El Portal serves as the creative forum for the students, faculty, and staff of Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) as well as artists, writers, and photographers worldwide; consequently, the views expressed in El Portal do not necessarily reflect the viewpoints and opinions of ENMU as as whole.
El Portal does not accept any previously published work.
Rights. Upon acceptance, El Portal acquires First Serial Rights. All questions pertaining to publishing rights should be directed to the editor at el.portal@enmu.edu.
Payment. El Portal does not pay contributors for submissions of any kind. All contributors receive two (2) free copies of El Portal. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact El Portal‘s editor at el.portal@enmu.edu.
Prizes. Only ENMU students qualify for prizes in Short Story, Poetry, and Art/Photography categories.
Response Time.
- Please note that we are a university-based publication. Response times will be slower in the summer. Allow for 120 days for our staff to respond. If you have not received a response at the end of 120 business days, please send a query e-mail to El Portal‘s editor at el.portal@enmu.edu.
